I’m Thomas Michael – a builder at heart who’s spent the last 25 years launching, scaling, and exiting businesses across SaaS, EdTech, AI, and SAP.
My journey has taken me from Hamburg to Houston, San Diego, New York City – and now London – each stop a chapter in learning what it really takes to grow companies, manage wealth, and design a life worth living.

My Story
- Early Days: Born in Hamburg, Germany, I cut my teeth as a junior consultant and fell in love with SAP. By my 30s I had co-founded and grown Michael Management Corporation into the world’s #2 SAP training provider (after SAP itself).
- Big Exit: In 2022, I sold a controlling stake in that business at a top valuation - and discovered that selling your baby is both exhilarating and terrifying. And strangely liberating at the same time.
- Tomco Capital: Today I lead my boutique investment & advisory firm, Tomco Capital, where I back promising tech businesses, curate passion-project real estate restorations, and acquire contemporary fine art that tells a story (and appreciates).
What I Do Now
Founder Coaching & Strategic Advisory
I work with a handful of ambitious tech founders (4 max) to help them:
- Scale: Double revenue by uncovering hidden growth levers and building predictable sales engines.
- Systemize: Architect processes, teams, and dashboards so the company runs without its founder.
- Exit: Command top multiples by converting revenue into recurring streams, cleaning up governance, and crafting a bulletproof financial story.
Nano-Private Equity
Through Tomco Capital, I make select seed-to-Series-A bets in SaaS, EdTech, and AI ventures where my operational playbooks and network unlock outsized returns. My flagship venture right now is ERPlingo, the incredibly smart SAP Coach & Support Assistant.
Family Office & Legacy Projects
Art Collection: I launched my first contemporary fine art fund in 2025. My focus: modern works that blend aesthetic beauty with secondary market upside.
Real Estate: From small pied-à-terres in world capitals to historic countryside restorations under $500k.
Heritage Book: Crafting my family’s escape story – from post-war Leipzig in 1960 through Hamburg’s great flood. Stories they make movies out of.
A Day in the Life
Morning: Early rise and quick check of the news and emails. Then HIIT workout or functional training session; tracking progress toward sub-12% body fat.
Midday: Strategy calls with founders, followed by market research on emerging AI tools.
Afternoon: Curating gallery visits or negotiating a restoration contractor for my next real estate project.
Evening: Dinner at a hidden-gem restaurant in Chelsea, a drumming session on my electronic kit, or take the train to Paris for a weekend art fair.
